Thanks Ivano. Your rims helped make up my mind - I was debating the M172's for a while, I wanted a staggered setup but wasn't 100% comfortable with the idea of spacers to make the rears work.

The extremely friendly people at inspection told me that 19" wheels are Ok on my car, without any extra paper work/inspection.

What would you do about this for 21" wheels?

So, it is the tyyppikatsastus.

The inspector that I spoke with (old-timer) last January, explained to me that 20" wheels wouldn't fit on my E61...

Right.

It's muutoskatsastus. Well my old timer inspector didn't notice my tint's on front doors

Right, muutoskatsastus.

I may just go back to using the 18" 135 M wheels in the summer. The 19" 166 M wheels cannot handle the road to our summer place. I broke a wheel in 2009, and I think that the same has happened this summer.

At 650 Euros per wheel, this is stupid.

Hallo fellow E61 drivers

Just received my new "used" E61. It's an 523i from 2007 LCI with 39.000 km on the clock.

What mods would I like.

- M-tech spoilers all around
- Navigation
- Night vision
- and possible PDC since I will change to M-tech
- lowering
- 18" M5 wheels, need to be powder coated mat black
- shadow line.
- multifunctional steering wheel, if it is possible.

Next year will be fun I am sure

Be sure to get an M-sport steering wheel, you'll love it.
