12.5mm up front and 15mm in da back for the flushness. I was drooling when I saw Dave's 128 setup. I was heartbroken when I found out he was rwd. But still I love the setup ... I think a drop is a must..

That's why I suggested the X3's 128s, as the X3 has similar offsets to your 5er X model. The rims are not as concave, due to the higher ET value, but they still look good IMHO. (You can find pictures in this Post, a few pages back I believe.)
So, help me understand the ET limits of our 535xiT cars...

the felgen page shows the x3 128 to be ET 46front/51rear 19" x 8.5" and 9"

So, 46 & 51 -12.5 & 15 = resulting ET of 33.5mm & 36mm, which appears to fit the car nicely, and still leaves a little room for more.

So what is the stock ET for an 18x8" as a starting reference point? I thought I read it somewhere else but lost that thread.

Hallo fellow E61 drivers

At last did I get some pictures of my new ride. It is an 523i with manual gears produced nov. 2007. I am sorry that it is not cleaned, but the weather here in Denmark is not good.

This is my plans comming mod plans:

- 18" rimes style 135, have them at home need to be powdercoated
- Shadowline upgrade
- CIC navigation
- Bluetooth and iPod/USB support
- M-tech spoilers
- lowered 15mm

Hope you like it!!

Wow I think this is the first stock E61 in this thread

Looking good, some people dream of having no roof rails like you.

Btw I have the same winter wheels

How are you lowering it? M-sport springs, or something else?

so this means all wheels with higher ET of 40-50 will fit easily using spacers and lower ET of 12-18 might work if wheel isn't too wide?

Still, I don't think stock ET for 08-09 x wagons can be 20 because the photos above show wheels nearly flush and his resulting ET was only 33/36. with 20 mine are tucked way inside the car

"stock" is NOT "xi", and therefore "stock ET" is NOT "xi ET"

xi offset for 18-inch wheels is ET 43 for 8-inch front width and ET 55 for 9-inch rear width.

oh boy, I'm learning now but you are killing me with the "stock" concept. Isn't "stock" "as it came from the factory"

I guess I'll just have to pull off my wheels and look inside them to see the "ET" imprinted front and rear so I have a true base point.

Ok in this thread you have to be careful a lot of these wagons you see are non u.s. / non xi models, I was so disappointed when I found out I couldn't get 128's like Dave or 166's

I found all the info in these forums you can too. So here's a must read on xi wheel setups.
https://5series.net/forums/topic/951...nsions-for-xi/

An easy offset calculator. My stock wheels are 43mm offset yours should be the same.. Plug in some numbers

And now need to that your wheels off, just look here.

Good luck.
