Hope that makes sense -- its based upon what I have read here, rather than personal experience with white cars. What's your experience? Have you tried this approach, or has it been too cold to go near the car with water?

Nice to see the mods coming together
I don't quite understand the wheel sizes you listed for the type 125 rims you bought.
You listed "8x19 ET18 " and "8,5x19 ET20"
According to the "Felgen Katalog" web-site, those rims are available as follows -- I included all variants of the rim and the only 19" version is in the size highlighted in bold type:
3er E46 (excluding M3)
8x18 front 225/40R18 ET 47
8,5x18 rear 255/35R18 ET 50
5er E60 ff.
8x19 front 245/35R19 ET 20
9,5x19 rear 275/30R19 ET 32
Z4 E85 ff.
8x18 front 225/40R18 ET 47
8,5x18 rear 255/35R18 ET 50
You need to double check what you have there
The front M5 M166 rim is 8,5x 19 ET12, so you could probably get away with a 10mm spacer on a 8x19 ET20 rim on the front. I have only used 15mm spacers on the rear of my current set up, which is the same as the one in bold type above. You could get away with a spacer up front, but I personally don't think its needed. I would definitely NOT put the wider rim on the front axel.
I hope that helps.

Special thanks to xBMWx for your advices. I would even say that your are the only one to answer me, each time I have questions! I guess my ride is to "shy" for the others... I try to fix this and it should be better when the spring will be back...!

xBMWx, I confirm you (I've checked on RealOEM.com) that the typ 125 also exists with the dimension 8,5. I've received them on saturday. I really think they will look great for my summer set-up. I'd like to fit them with Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta (some questions below regarding the dimensions...)
I've removed the summer tyres (ContiSportContact 3 SSR), and put Vredestein Wintrac Extrem on my 18" (typ 184), which are then becoming my winter set-up.
![Cool](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/cool.gif)
What a difference between the RunFlat and Non-Runflat...!? Unbelievable! I had forgotten the smoothness of the ride... Consequently, I've deceided to never be back on the "RunFlat world", whatever the security it may give in some rare occasions. I've, nevertheless, made the spare wheel installed by my dealer...
As I said above, I'm a bit confused on what kind of summer tyres should I install on those 8,5 (typ 125)? From what I've read on various sites, 255/35/19 are able to be mounted. On the other side, I think they are not "equivalent" to my 245/40/18 that I'm runing now. Is this correct? (I maybe should first check the others threads...).
I'm also wondering if I couldn't go for 245/35/19 for all of the rims... But in this case, I'm fearing to have some big difficulties to recognize which are the 8,5 and which are the 8...!

Thanks in advance for all the good advices.
Drive carefully.

Is that a Breyton tail pipe or do you have standard tail pipes that have been blurred in the picture?!

These are the BMW tyre sizes recommended for the 128s, which like your 125s also have been offered in different sizes:
8x19 front 245/35R19 ET 20
9,5x19 rear 275/30R19 ET 32
since 03/04 8,5x19 front 245/35R19 ET 18
since 03/04 9,5x19 rear 275/30R19 ET 32
At E90Post they have a wheel calculator, which enables you to see what the difference in height and width will be.
http://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=12
What is also interesting is that they normally have the following tyre sizes when using an 8 + 8,5 combo on the 3-series' 18" rims:
8x18 front 225/40R18
8,5x18 rear 255/35R18
I'm still confused how you ended up with an 8 and an 8,5 rims, rather than a 9,5 for the rear -- very strange!
Anyway, I do understand your problem here and the recommended tyre sizes by BMW do not exactly solve it for you.
I think I would probably just go for the same size tyre all round (245/35R19) and make sure I clearly mark which wheels are 8" and 8.5"! Then use spacers to create the look / stance you want.
