I am trying to make a decision between a couple E61 530xiT automatics. All things relatively equal between the cars I would choose the one with the Premuim Sound Package that includes the Logic7 setup. I am doing the majority of searching online/internet.

I wanted to know if there are any visual differences between a '06 or '07 E60/E61 with Logic7 and without.

PICS pls.
I am opened to going to the dealership but would prefer to avoid that trip till I was ready and informed.

I'm not 100% sure, but the basic sound system should not have speaker grilles in the rear door (just in front of the latch to open the door.) the cd changer was included in the logic7 package, that's in the glove box, but that could also have been added later by the dealer.

Logic7 has the center channel in the dash.

Does someone have a set of pics with Logic7 and without. It seems to be easier to see the difference on the '08 and '09.

Is the center channel speaker obvious on the '06 and '07 models?

yes, but unfortunately, even the basic sound system cars have a grille there, so you can't tell if it has the system just by looking at that, unless you're looking close enough to look through the grill and spot the speaker.

go to the information section of the site and look at the interiors. there are a few that have nothing in the back doors.

prepare yourself a bassy cd and play it through the system (at fairly low volume). it sounds very solid pumping sound out of the speaker that under your front seats. it has 11 speakers that i can found on my bmw e61 2005. hope this help.

Well if you can play a track then all you have to do is get to the Audio section on the iDrive and if you have an Equaliser you have L7. No other sound package has the equaliser and the Individual is not available anycase in the US. You will also see the L7 logo displayed on one of the screens.
