I tell you:

because they gave me a bigass discount and I don't want to visit the dealership every 3 weeks because of the problems that come with brand new models such as the F10.
F10 is nice indeed, but without M-style it's senseless for me.I wanted to buy a car that I don't have to put in another 2000? to add M-package and stuff that comes now with this car.
Another good point is that this model was first built 2004 and now it's almost 2010, 5 years of time that BMW had to remove all the crap they did with the initial models..
I know as soon as i get to see the F10 I will bite my ass but hey, this car is also nice and for me it's like christmas and birthday together
OK. I did think that you had weighed the options, I was just curious. That's why I added the " no offence" in the end. But again, congratulations on the nice car!

I won't be buying a F10 until at least 2012...
Neither will I, as I'm poor..

My thinking too. Happy for the rest of you guys to test the F10/F11 out so that I can buy an improved one in a couple of years...
Yep.

I had some other friends that bought the E60 in 2003, and both cars went back.

One replaced the E60 with a Lexus (LMAO), the other with a Jag!

hey Pat, thanky for your envy
As I was at the dealership(45minutes) to pick it up, there came 3 people asking the salesman if they could buy this car

Lets meet in summer 2010, I would say Nordschleife
There will be an E60/61 Meet organized next summer (someone told me about this the other day - details will be coming), but I think that it will be a bit farther south. And east...

However, I would be thrilled to drive my 275hp 530d along side your 272hp 530i on the Ring!!

I wonder if he has a list of mods already...

of course:

I will wrap my roof with cf-foil next march/april, then I will add cf splitters..
K&N airfilter, sprint booster, summer wheels, black kidney grills

tomorrow I will add the LED- licence plate lights that I had in my old car.

Maybe I will add cf diffuser, but now the all white looks better IMHO...
Let's wait till it will start annoying me
then from time to time I will add here and there a new mod.. good things take time to age

this would be interesting to know what kind of motorization is better for the Ring..
As both have almost similar power but the diesel engine is more powerful in the lower revs, I think most of the time it would be you in front of me..the Ring has a bunch of uphills and downhills...
but let's talk about next year..I will remind you
