Thumbs up

Hi all,

Does anyone know what error code P3090 means?

Car is a 2007 E61 530i

Symptoms - car hesitates for a second and "engine malfuntion - reduced power" message is displayed (and stays on). Car drives fairly normally apart from maybe a slight loss of torque, but idling is uneven and it cuts out at idle every so often. Also needs a bit of cranking to start.

Sometimes problem starts almost immediately after driving off, sometimes not for several miles. Started a few days ago immediately after refuelling on an almost empty tank.

Thanks!

a quick google search suggests it's a fuel pressure problem - perhaps a fuel pump on its way out

Thanks for that. I couldn't find anything on Google - must be doing something wrong

Now I'm wondering if I got contaminated fuel that's caused a blockage or something.
