Well well, everything has an end. After our last summer vacation, 6500 km's going through Germany, Belgium, France, Spain, Portugal and all the way back home, we realized that the 520d is too cramped for three kids + two adults.
Not to mention any friends or any other people in the car. The back seat is made for two people, period.
Quite simply, we felt a bit stupid to drive a BMW when it was obviously not perfect for our needs.
So, we sold the car and bought a minibus. Which is quite a revelation in terms of space and comfort but less so when it comes to...emotion. I feel quite mature now.
