Default Changing Gbox oil on 2004 e61 auto

Hi all,

The sump cover on my auto box has sprung a leak so I thought I might as well renew the gasket on there and change the oil at the same time. Anybody know how to do it? And what is the correct oil.

Thanks

AJH

Hi,
Read below, Ive done it myself step by step about 2-3 years ago. all good. be sure to change sump pan too, it contains inbuilt filter, also without removing it completely you never change enough of oil. ps, car must be completely level when filling back up. and make sure temperatures are correct!
