I know they sell an E61 550 in Europe, but not in the US. Is there any way to get one new for US import? I assume even European delivery doesn't work. Do I need to buy one used in Europe and import it "grey market"? What a shame we can't get that here.
And I'm sure the answer for the E61 M5 is that I wouldn't be able to get on the list for that small number of cars, even if it were possible to order it for the US.

Getting an M5 Touring shouldn't be a problem. It's available in Europe if you can wait a few months.

I'm sure you can order one from a dealer in mainland Europe and have it exported to the US. You will have to find out about US customs regulations and how to get US plates for the car. There are a few US spec details that you must have on the car. Discuss that with a dealer in Germany and see what can be done from the factory.

firstly, to bring a car in. it must be federalized which can cost a lot. that doesn't include taxation, etc. secondly, you can't buy from a dealer based from europe. i mean you can, but don't tell them you intend to ship it out. i used to work for a dealership and that's how i knew of this.
