I have a 2008 535Xi wagon that I'm 90% sure has a failed crankshaft position sensor resulting in a "Engine Malfunction" and "Transmission Malfunction" messages and it won't let me put it into any other gear than P (it immediately shifts back to P automatically if I try). I just need to move it a couple hundred meters to work on it (get it out of the rain). Is there any way to bypass the restriction on shifting gears? I would of course drive it super slow to where I need to go. Just hoping to avoid a tow.
