Thanks but I check them every week as I had one on the rear that was leaking slowly round the rim (fixed now) Thermostats have already been changed too.

What pressure do you run your tires at? I use 2.2Bar front and 2.7 rear as per the tally on the door post but that shows it for 3 / 4 people and half of the time there's just me in it.

I would say it should do a lot more than that but it depends on your driving style and type of use.

My Ride: 2007 530xiT: CPO purchase in 2008, used by a BMW exec previously, and like-new when I got it. Compared to my other cars, at first I thought it felt heavy and steering was too heavy. Now, I really enjoy driving it in town and on the freeway. On my

I just got back from Dallas, TX, 1800 miles. I drove my 530xiT mostly around 80 mph. Mileage was around 25 mpg.

530i: Combined city and motorway driving I usually end up on 26 mpg (US) or 30 mpg (UK). Country roads 28 mpg (US)/33 mpg (UK).

Long term average is about 31mpg, but once managed to get 50mpg! Top speed 50mph. Because tyre blew just after we left the alps and had to come ALL the way back on the spacesaver. Never thought it could manage 50mpg (hopefully it never will again).

I just completed a drive from NJ to Atlanta ... 774 mi @ average speed of 63mph ... according to "trip computer" [that factors in stops, slow-downs for ezpass tolls, etc] though most driving speeds were 65mph - 80mph.

'07 530xi mpg = 28.6 ... bet if I had a 'd' it'd be closer to 40mpg but that doesn't factor in the higher cost of diesel in the United States.

Thats very acceptable indeed!

I did a 400 km trip yesterday (mostly highway with some stops due to roadwork). Prior to that, I reset everything and filled the tank to full.

I drove very light and used cruise control a lot. I only averaged 12,5 km/l (28,2 mpg)...

Have not changed the thermostat since i reach operating temperature after approx 20-25 km. Its still cold in Denmark, so i figured that was OK?

Is it the way I drive my 530D or what do you guys do? No climate control or what?
