Default 2004 E61 530d Steering wheel alignment

When getting in the car today, the steering wheel suddenly seems to be offset slightly to the right. I don't know if I have active steering or not, tried the reset trick anyways, and that didn't fix it. I haven't hit anything, and nothing has changed to the car recently to warrant this.
The only thing I can think of is to physically take the wheel off and reseat it in the correct orientation, but I still find it very odd that the wheel would suddenly be offset overnight.
What could this be?

If you do that, your ESP will think the car is driving to one side always.. That is a very bad solution..
Get your tires checked out first, airpressure and thread.

Checked the tires, air pressure and thread, and all seems to be in order there. The car itself still runs straight, it's just he steering wheel that suddenly became offset.
Had a local tire place take the front wheels off, and everything behind it seems in order too; nothing feels loose, or 'off'.
