Actually no man. Lol. Rab wanted the ESS tune becuase PC didnt want to tune his car again after so many reflashes. So yeah, lets be honest here. You guys really dont know the whole story and since I dont have anything to hide, Ill tell it. Rab had an issue with PC (check the m5board for the story..lots of drama). PC refused to flash Rabs car so he went on a tuning spree, trying all kinds of tunes with no success. So, he went back with ESS. We dynoed the car and it didnt make the kind of power that RAb was happy with. I thought it didnt do anything. ESS was very professional and very confident in their product so they had no issues with doing some tests here. Roman and AJ, came out to CA and flashed the car here. Their standard tune made a little more power than stock. They then looked at the mods on his car and did several flashes to tune for the rpi products. So, thats what happened. I called their BS, they came and proved it. If you look, we have always only sold one other tune before they came out. Im hoping that we can add the Singh flashes to our line but I still need to see it first.

Here is the BOTTOM line so after this, Im going to stop posting on this thread because its going no where. If you want to discuss what I post here, start a new thread.

Your DME (ecu) is a complex computer that is almost like AI. It will adjust to the conditions of the environment where the car is being operated. It will also adjust to driving style, for fuel economy, fuel type, fuel quality, etc.

Comparing the ESS, PC, etc and the Singh tune is not a fair comparison because the tuners go about their flashing and dyno test sessions differently. Which way is right or wrong? Who cares, Im just telling you how these companies differ. You can decide which way works for YOU.

When Singh flashes an ECU, they clear the adaptive maps, have the car drive around for a period of time, then dyno it.

When ESS or Powerchip did their dyno testing here, the flashes were done on the dyno with no clearing of the adaptive maps and no "break in" period. The results arent as good as if they did clear the adaptation though.

WIth that, the consumers can decide for themselves which method they want to go with. I have my personal opinion but thats just it, my personal opinion.
