Why didnt you let me dyno it? If you really get 30whp from a tune, Ill give you a free exhaust. If you look at the dyno, it doesnt show RPM. HP is a calculation of tq and rpm. For the dynojet to get an rpm signal, there is an optical sensor which you have to place something on the crank pulley and a sensor to read the revolutions placed under the car while the car is running, OR you have a tac signal tool which is very hard to get a reading on the M5. Im not saying the Singh tune doesnt make power but I know you cant get 30hp from a tune esp with our crappy CA gas. If you want to bring it here, Ill run it.

We wanted to dyno from an independent shop so there would be no conflict of interest.

Here is the RPM measure as requested from 5th gear

oh well,. guess we'll never know. Offer still stands though. lol. I remember the "king of so cal" dynoed 480whp independently, then lost to a guy with just intake and pulley, dynoed here at 402whp. John, we'll be there on Sat to support you guys. You should run DB. With the power you are making, you should whoop on him pretty bad.

Eloy, come to our meet this Saturday. Let's hang out and talk as friends, putting business aside.

The brown M5 will probably have your RPi headers on by Saturday. If there is another M5, we can do some runs.

In Amedali's case, didn't he just have an post dyno showing 480rwhp? There was no baseline for his mods on that other dyno unlike what we have here right?

Also, this may show 474rwhp on a Dynojet but that might not be much on your Dyno Dynamics so numbers alone wouldn't mean that he'd whoop DB's car. What I'm trying to say is, win or lose with the race with David, that still doesn't really prove anything with the Singh tune cause maybe this M5's mods don't put out much power compared to the RPI hardware.

I was hoping for an unbiased discussion of these results and since Eloy is the resident expert on dynos, I wanted him to provide some feedback on what we're seeing here. John has provided the RPM chart so what else can come into play here that can contribute to such a high number?

And yes, find another M5 to do pre/post dynos at RPI, maybe with Jags there and see what the results are.

Just thought of something...maybe the Singh tune also helped maximized or improved the gains from the other mods hence we're seeing such a high number? Meaning, maybe the Singh tune alone on a stock M5 wouldn't show as high of a gain?

I was thinking the same thing...as bolt on mods with an FI N54 engine (downpipes, cats, exhaust, etc...) would cause higher gains on a dyno with a tune/flash or piggy back versus a "stock" set-up + flash/tune alone....

I would think the same for NA engines and dyno's also...
