Question re M5 LC - For EU drivers I guess

Firstly, before peeps accuse me of trying to disclude you guys in the US, this topic is aimed at EU drivers as we have a different LC setup to you guys (i.e. we get the full 4krpm LC). Though welcome to answer if you have insight.
Just a quick question, as I've not been able to test this since purchase due to weather conditions.
When launching under full throttle with LC (4krpm), will the SMG box automatically select 2nd gear at the most optimal moment? Or is it down to driver to select as when in regular manual shift mode?
I'm sure I read somewhere that 2nd is automitcally selected.

no one got any insight for me on this? i'd really like to know as i'd like to take her to Santa Pod (drag strip) and race my mates AMV8.

LC mode will shift all gears automatic until you keep full throttle.
