Today, at the Mother's Day I had some time to clean the engine bay!
It wasn't very bad, only some dust over the parts.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
The process:
1) Cleaning
Metal parts
- CRC Motor Clean + soft brush
- AutoGlym Intensive Tar Remover (on some areas)
Plastic parts:
- CRC Plastic Clean + soft brush
Then a good rinsing with water from a spray bottle.
2) Protecting the surfaces
Metal parts:
- FK1000P (except the engine block of course)
- Chemical Guys EZ Creme Glaze (the black cover plate in front)
Plastic parts:
- AutoGlym Vinyl & Rubber Protection
-----------------------------------------------------------------

CRC Motor Clean agitated with a brush.
50/50 under the hood .
The show must go on.
Cleaning the plastic parts with CRC Plastic Clean.
Then I put some protection. Here I'm applying the Chemical Guys EZ Creme Glaze on to the black cover. On to other metal parts I put Finish Kare 1000P (except the engine block of course).
Auto Glym Vinyl & Rubber Protection on to the plastic parts.
Few pics in the sunlight as always haha!
...Almost ready for the next weekend's Backwoods Cruising meet/show .

Good and bad things today....
- Found an oil leak on the right side of the engine
- Backed up to a neighbour's wheelbarrow --> scratches
+ Got the wheel alignment done
+ Hopefully fixed the oil leak (I found one bolt in bank 1 Vanos unit to be very loose. I had to open this bolt during the solenoid change because it also holds a hose support and I needed to move that support aside. Obviously I didn't tighten this bolt enough afterwards.)
