Every time I see a M5 or even a picture of one, I'm so tempted to break the bank and pay the US$170,000 (before registration & taxes in Korea) admission fee and just one. The M5 is damn hot! It is an awesome motor car! Congrats and enjoy being the envy of many! Including me!

Only SMG available here in the UK. Absolutely no complaints though, especially now it's run in. The changes are incredibly quick at full throttle, if a little brutal!
Hi JMC,

Didnt realise until today you owned the Silverstone 11, its a great colour, mines the same and I love it have you thought of the remap at all or are you not bothering?

I'm tempted but the insurance impact is putting me off. Living here in East London the premiums are already horrendous, and doing anything to the engine wold probably tip me over the edge into uninsurable. It's not so much the extra horsepower I'm interested in (there's a lot of debate about that anyway) but from what I heard the flexibility is greatly improved - is that your experience?

BTW, I never really considered another colour once I'd seen Silverstone II in the metal. The dealer was offering me quite decent deals on ready-builts but none were Silverstone sadly, so my preference has no doubt hit me in the pocket. Interestingly the dealer told me that M5s' resale value is hit quite badly in London if you go for anything other than Silverstone, Interlagos or Black, and leather in anything other than Black or Cream is hard to shift. Shame because some of the combos our American friends have got look stunning.

Yes the flexibility IS greatly improved, I pay ?490.00 a year and thats with Protective NCB, legal, car with ?500.00 excess, if your a young un then thats why your paying the higher premium + London on top of that, Im with swiftcover.com give them a try next time around, Ive found nobody cheaper, just have a look on the tinternet and Google them.
