Doesn't surprise me, I took my car in for service and got a call back 3 days later that the car was ready. The guy handed me the keys to drive off but I did a walk around inspection before driving off and saw that the front bumper had a huge scrape about 3 feet long and 3 inches thick going across the front of it. This was at the BMW of North Houston in the Woodlands dealership, so always check out your car before you drive it off that's my only advice.

There is no way in hell that much damage happened at 20 mph. There is no excuse for that dealer and I hope they get shut down, or at least end up having to give the guy a new M5. That car looks totaled and if it were my car I would demand a replacement with a clean history.

I emailed the General manager of AutoBahn BMW to give him a sense of how far this news traveled and the only way he's really going to fix the reputation scarring is by doing the right thing and buying the customer a new M5.

that dealer should have cut their loses immediately and just replaced the car no question about it they have insurance to cover these types of situations and they never want to use it.option 1(loose out buying a new m5 for the customer?)or option 2(loose my customer base when news of this accident spreads over the internet and i just lost 10 fold the cost of the m5 over the next few years?)...too bad he picked option 2 and thought the customer would just be all oh ok repair it cheap as possible free..that would be great. fuck that id be so pissed dealerships as scam artists
