well, you oculd mod the 530xi more HP, M body kit, etc... you have something like an M5, not an actual one but still.

Coming from an E46 330Ci (which I highly modded) I thought this was true. I thought my 330Ci was just like an M3 except that the M3 had ~100 more hp. But as soon as I drove an M3 I just realized it totally wasn't. The M3 just felt like a totally different animal...It was at that moment I realized my love for M

Friend is not a dumb guy. He also has been driving a Porsche Cayenne Turbo S for a while and he doesn't do anything dumb. He refuses to go into M mode until he has gotten comfortable with the car and feels like he can control it. He only tested it once which was on a major highway and he himself says that it's pretty scary how fast it picks up so I doubt he'll be going 140 km/h down a side street.

Well it is his parents money. No way the common 19 y/o has the money to afford an M5 so it was ultimately their decision on if they kept the M3 or not.

Believe me I've thought about getting an M5 from the States. Only problem with that is that when bringing the vehicle into Canada, there is a 5% tax and an additional 6.5% tax because the vehicle is made in Germany. So it's just cheaper to buy one from here. Thanks for the suggestion though.
