Dave this is no time to go out and drive we want photos on the interior and the engine. NO HAVING FUN WITH THE CAR NOW.

Why? There are many people here, including myself, who chose the 545/550 with sport package over the M5 not based on price but based on an unwillingness to put up with some of the M5 issues for performance gains that can really only be exploited on the track.

Dealers either can transfer old plates or give you a new one....they keep them in stock and don't use paper ones anymore. My tag in the rear window is the temp tag until I get my new registration sticker for my plate.Now, all I have is about 1130 more miles to go before the real fun starts!!

Rudy, I need to pick your brain on the SMG...what speed shifted best for daily drives around the area? More...or Less...or in the middle? I will do some searching on the SMG, but I am trying to figure out that awkward delay between shifts, when just driving around the neighborhood and general vicinity.
I went for the 550i 2nd test drive with a salesman who knew you...awesome guy! I will PM you his name. In fact, he was the one who pretty much convinced me that the M5 was more of what I was looking for. He could see I wasn't totally satisfied with the 550i, so it was a breath of fresh air to actually have a salesman look out for the buyer's needs more than his own. As we sat in the 550i after the test drive, he said, "Go get the M5!" You didn't hear it from me! One cool dude to talk to, and he knew you...of course!

As far as the SMG, keep in mind that the M SMG is way more advanced than the non-M SMG but the principles are probably similar. Look at the SMG FAQ thread and read the links from there to get a better understanding of things...
