Looks great! Congratulations!!

I\'m sure (or at least hope) that they took good care of you at Rahal -- unless you dropped my name that is...then they probably jacked up the price and found all sorts of ways to gouge you...
Now you tell me!!! I, in fact, did mention your name, and everyone just walked out of the showroom, quickly. My salesman said, "Oh yeah, I know Rudy.....short, bald, fat guy with a long beard and bad breath! He's the one with the loaded 550i for $83K that drives like an old lady. That guy doesn't even wash his own car by hand!"

That was the only comment, though.

I hated weather while I lived in Pittsburgh for 5 years because of school
Don't be hating on the 'Burgh now. You just probably flunked out and are now taking it out on our great city!

Oh, and thanks everybody for the kind words. Wait till I get her on Friday, all shined and waxed up!!! I will have new and improved pics then. I can't wait, and I feel good about the purchase....no regrets or buyer's remorse, which means I made the right decision.

I'm just happy he finally made a decision! There was a point there where I was worried about the forum server being overloaded because he was putting up so many "what do I do" posts...

I think it was more like, "I don't know what to do!" Come on, Rudy....get it straight.

I was just looking to run up my post total!

Did I mention I've been up for 40 hours straight because of my 5-series related brain disease?

Some other pics I took today:

Congrats and enjoy. I know you'll love it. I don't miss not having an M although I've never owned a V10 model. Just make sure you sort out the winter tires, and/or buy a winter beater for the bad days. I have an X3 for that purpose and for the extra utility when needed.

BTW, I'm quite familiar with the 'burgh. I lived in Wheeling, WV and all around Pittsburgh including Uniontown when little. I was a big Pirates fan and still would be if they had a decent team. I've got all sorts of Clemente and Stargell autographs and stuff.
My sister still lives in Wheeling and I visit the area several times a year.

I've got the winter tire solution for our cars for those of us who've upgraded the wheels for spring/summer. You CAN use the stock wheels with a dedicated winter tire application. Vredestein makes an awesome winter tire in our stock sizes. Granted, it's more for the freezing temps than it is for driving on snow but still a solution nonetheless. Even if you haven't upgraded the wheels, you can switch out the tires if you dont plan to buy a winter wheels set.

All the best

BTW, congrats Dr. Lev and ...I know someone with a white trunk finisher that would go great with the carbon black.

Congrats Dr!!!!!! Aside from the power of the V-8 whippin your head back in the seat, at least you dont have that spring issue any more!

Are you planning on putting some springs on this one, or keeping it sport stock?

Although I am not sure about the tranny choice as I just had a 2008 loaner w/ that sportmatic shifter and found it not pleasing to drive. Did BMW just give up on the SMG?????

All in all fabulous ride, cant wait to see how you mod it out!

What didn't you like about the SAT? I think you're the first person to say something negative about it.

Coming from my beloved SMG, I love the SAT and am happy with it -- BMW "gave up" on the SMG because the DSG was in development. It's now available on the new M3 and will likely be available on other cars in the future...
