i recently purchased a m5 and wanted to know if the engine sound is normal. when i cold start the vehicle every morning, it sounds like a diesel engine for a minute or so. Once the engine warms up the sound decreases and sounds normal. to me it sounds like lifter noise. just wondering if its normal

totally normal due to the power and placement of the cylinders. Its a V10 for heaven sake... Even after it warms up some time it still sounds a bit ruff.. All is well.
