I was at the dealer the other and was sitting in their Z8. I noticed that the e-brake handle on the Z8 looks similar (in shape) to the one on our e60s. The nice think about the Z8 handle is that it is painted to match the car's exterior color, jet black in my case. I asked the parts the department and they weren't sure if it would fit or not but the price is around $120 for the special order part. Does anyone know if the Z8 handle could fit? I remember someone on this board posting a picture of their Z8 so perhaps he could take a look. I think it would be a lot nicer look than our leather and wouldn't look "aftermarket" What do you guys think?

Not a bad idea but someone has to be the test animal

 

I looked on the parts Cd and it apears that it will not fit. You may have to do some modding to make it work.
