I was looking at all the great work on modifying the eyebrows, and thought to myself that I always thought the eyebrows should actually be the turn indicators/blinkers. Has anyone tried to do this, and if not, does anyone have any thoughts on how hard it would be to wire this up? That is, to disable the current headlight blinkers and just flash the eyebrows, a la the LCI taillights for that LED look?

This is easily done but you will need to make a couple of decisions. What about your normal eyebrow function - will you direct that to another bulb or resistor and what about the current side marker turns.

Let's say I wanted the normal eyebrows to be off unless they are activated as turn signals, but the furthest back 4 (or is it 5) individual LEDs to stay on as running lights as they currently do?

Keep the existing fender side markers with their current functionality. Disable the existing incandescent turn signals in the headlights.

This would be quite cool, but if you left one of the leds as a running light i dont think the other 4 flashing would really be that bright or noticeable. Might look good if you use our current turn signal and the led's together

No just the individual side LEDs on the headlight would stay as running lights. The eyebrow would be the only part to flash.

That sounds pretty awesome actually, havent thought of this. I wonder if you could get it to blink different colors, like white then the eyebrow would be amber like normal when its not blinking

The easiest way to do this would be to have the entire eyebrow remain illuminated while driving - and blink opposite of the actual signal when you use your blinker.

Here is how to wire it -

- You will first need to determine the polarity of the two wires on the top of the headlight assembly that feel the eyebrow LED's.

- Use a multimeter to identify the positive (12v+) feeling the LED's

- In the harness that feeds the headlight assembly, locate the wire that gives the intermittent 12v+ when the blinker is illuminated.

- Using a Bosch type (8-14VDC) relay, wire everything like this -

- Take the 12v wire that feeds the LED's and cut it.

- The section of wire coming FROM the harness/car connects to relay position 87a.

- The section of wire going TO the LED's connects to relay position 30.

- Tap the wire on the headlight harness that supplies the blinker with intermittent 12v and connect to relay position 85.

- Relay position 86 goes to ground (anywhere on the chassis).

- Relay position 87 gets no wire - therefore interrupting the flow of current to the eyebrow whenever 12v is present to the actual blinker.

I am tired and typed this in kind of a hurry, so do your homework before attempting this incase I got something backwards.
