Hello,

since quite a long time I'm watching different offers in the internet. But I'm unsure which OBD will do its best job for a reasonable price.

All I want is a USB-Device as my notebook does not have RS232 ports and the Software I plan to use would be Ediabas/NCS-Expert/INPA.

Can anybody give me a hint what I have to look at?

Will this offer work with my car? http://cgi.ebay.de/CAN-BUS-EOBD-OBD-OBD2-USB-Diagnostic-Interface-V1-3-B03_W0QQitemZ280412628154QQcmdZViewItemQQptZElektroger%C3%A4te?hash=item4149e524ba
Best regards
Kerni

Hm,

it seems nobody is 100% sure, if this OBD2 I checked out will definately work with my E61.

Can anybody tell me, which OBD he uses for his E61/E60 BJ 2005. And maybe can tell me with which software his interface is compatible with?

Best regards
Kerni

for 7 euros.... I would buy it and try it.

If you want OBD for BMW only.... consider to buy one from www.bavariantechnic.com

You are right.

But it's another 13? for shipping, what makes it to 20? ( still not really much ).
But maybe this whole thing will not work at all, so its completely wasted money I could maybe use for this one http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160372720078&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

I had been already on this homepage, but 287$ for the cheapest kit is definately too much money I will spend for an OBD-interface.

But still thanks for your reply

That cable is very good for BMW but you will need a laptop and software to run with the cable.
Go www.bmwecu.org and there are a lots of info about OBD for BMW.
