The ones from John that worked the best are the latest generation which combines HID bulbs with coding to make the car not throw an error message (as opposed to the earlier versions that had a number of cables. I still have them in and they are perfect.

Nah, it's pretty tough. I remember when I did the first LCI xenon lens swap, I couldn't stop laughing because of how easy it was compared to LCI halogen and pre-LCI xenon. It's as if the LCI xenons are begging for lens swap

It came out more like a semi-gloss. I may paint it again with a more durable paint as I never want to open these again lol. I rather not have the car for a day or two more than to hack them again. One shot, one kill!
