Is there a possiblity to connect AV to the tvtuner (analog), maybe with an interface ?
if yes, where can I find the interface ?

 

There are a couple companys offering interfaces. They all seem to be the same. They make an override of the screen, so you can watch while driving, but can't use the screen for idrive infos while the system is on.

do you know also how to select the external resource on the settop box ?

 

Select "settings" in your main menu and you find a position "Activate AUX In". When you select that it should switch over to it. I can't try it because I don't have the AV input yet.

Is this a BMW TV tuner device which I can purchase from BMW? Does this work w/o Nav?

You don't have a location in your profile, so my first question is, where are you from?
If you are in the US you can't buy it, AFAIK.
This is a box for installation in an E60, that allows receiving of digital TV programs with an aerial. In the near future we don't have analog TV anymore, only digital.
This box is only for the receiving of DVB-T (digital video broadcast - terrestrial) and has an input, where you can connect another source, like a DVD player.
If you are in a country where you don't have DVB-T, you wouldn't receive anything with this box... I dunno if there is DVB-T in the US, but even if, you wouldn't be able to buy it, AFAIK, because BMW is not selling anything what allows watching TV in the car in the us...
