what is RETROFIT KIT SETTOP-BOX and how it is working ?

 

A settop box is a TV tuner for aerial digital TV.
You have an IR RC to control it. It has text and EPG. The pic quality is waaaaay better than the quality of the analog TV.

 

Where can I find the retrofit setup box ?
Is this working also with a non-bmw screen ?

 

It's a BMW part what your dealer can order.
I think it works on ANY screen, since the box doesn't know what screen it is connected to...

Don't have received the invoice yet, so I don't have the part number.
I don't know where exactly the box is, it's hidden in the trunk, so I don't have pics of it.
All I have is the pics I've allready posted, showing the pic on the screen, the text and the remote.

 

Can I get this in the US?

 

I don't think so, since you can't even get TV function through BMW.

 

any word if this is available in UK???

I phoned my dealer several weeks ago and he said that its showing NOT available on the system. He did not know why.
