I used bricks and towels on mine. So nervous stacking bricks on brick on brick, any single one of those could have slid off and broke a window or caused a dent.

Hey Balbs, are you sure it's not really the tape holding that spoiler down?

If you look at the 4th pic of my original post, there are only 6 strips of tape (3 on each side of fin) that's connecting the spoiler to the roof\windshield. Those were mainly there to position the spoiler as I tightened each clamp down. They don't really hold the spoiler down. The tape around the clamp suction cups were there to ensure they don't lift and lose suction (which they never did). I checked each morning noon and night for 3 days and made sure that the clamps had positive pressure on the spoiler and holding it down tight.

Per the ACS instructions:

Spoiler placed and holders holding. I placed the holders on the glass instead of the roof. I figured the smooth surface of the glass would let the suction cups stick better. Also, I taped the top of the spoiler to prevent the holders from marring or scratching the surface.:

I also taped the suction cup down to make sure they don't lift and lose suction:

Now to wait 24 hours for the glue to cure. To prevent moisure and evening dew from getting the tape wet and lifting, I covered the whole thing up:

Nice write up. I just got the same roof spoiler and was trying to figure out what would be best way to secure it till the glue set. I was thinking of using a 50lbs bag of rice i had in the pantry to put on top. However knowing my luck the bag would break in the middle of the nite I'd have rice all over the car and garage.

Awesome work! There is no way it should come of now.

Those clamps are really cool. Might get me some of them.

This install is awesome! I used towels and boxes of old paperwork to hold the roof spoiler down for my install. This method is 1000x better. Well done and thanks for sharing.
