Today I noticed my welcome light is no longer working. I had my car coded to turn on fog light along with the welcome light when unlocking since like 5 months ago, and it had been working perfectly until today. I tested out and found out pathway lighting is not working either, (had my car coded to work with remote), now can't even trigger it with the turn signal lever.
FYI, I have LCI E60, and everything was working perfectly until today. and NO ERROR code shown on idrive. I have already tried changing the settings on idrive about welcome light and pathway lighting but no luck. All my lights are in perfect working order... Just not the welcome light and pathway lighting.
Does it ever happen to any of you guys? or any ideas?
I'd appreciate any of the inputs!!
Thanks.

Make sure your lights are set on Auto. You probably already know that, but just eliminating possibilities.
All these functions seized to work with me when my battery was dying. Apparently when the battery drops under a current voltage the car saves juice!
When I installed my new battery all these functions started to work again.
Maybe a failing battery?

some of my lighting features quite working also when I was dealing with a dying battery. I just assumed I did something in my projects to change the settings but they came back after I replaced the battery.

It's probably a battery issue.
There was a member that I helped with a few months back. His battery was around 2 years old if I remember correctly, but one day, he started to have electric gremlins. From my experience, it pointed to the battery. After he took it to a shop to do battery load test (which suggested the battery was fine), he then decided to just swap out for a new battery. After the new battery went in, everything went back to normal.

Thanks guys!!
YES, battery is also my biggest doubt as of right now. I drove around for about 5 miles and came back, it all worked fine. Then after about a few hours i tested again and it stopped working again!! So, that most likely is the battery problems.
Any recommendation for a new battery,
I've read This Thread and a couple others. But just feel like I'd ask while I'm at this. Also do you guys recommend me to program the battery? Since I know I'll get both answers for this question, I might better off asking "where would you guys recommend me to get my battery programmed in SoCal (Los Angeles and San Gabriel Valley) area?"
Thanks again!!

I have no problem recommending this: Buy a $220 battery, stick it in your car and drive it.
I got an online price for an OEM battery, asked my local dealer parts manager if he could get me the online price and he did.
