Thursday Update: Waiting for the painted pieces and suspension to come in.

Today, I learned that the E60 goes crazy when the battery gets drained. Walked away from the car without shutting radio (comfort access). After few hrs the battery drained... When being jump started, EVERYTHING went haywire. Air bag light, seat belt light, active steering, you name it. For awhile the steering wheel was cranked 45 degrees to the right to keep a straight line. Even transmission felt weird. After I shut off and turned on the car again, all warnings went away. Active steering twitched the steering wheel a bit, and alignment went back to normal. I thought for a second that Windows crashed . Lesson to self: BMW does not shut down the electronics like Audi does

Sorry to hear about your battery drain, but can we get some 20's over here? Did I ask yet? I am not sure why you concentrate so much on the E90, well....I guess I am, but why not delve more into the E60 market and make a splash? You guys could clean up with some nice looking 20" reps of the more popular Radenergies, HRE's, DPE's, etc. And tell the guys in Taiwan to ditch the paint for powder-coating!

I'll be waiting.

My E60 did the same thing. I could barely crank the car over. When it finally turned over, every light and warning was going crazy. I had a blank idrive screen and the idrive wheel would just spin no clicks. Worst of all the car wouldn't move. I would floor the accelerator and the car would only go 5 mph. I shut it off and restarted it, same things happened, but then the transmission wouldn't let me change to drive. I had to get the car trailored to the dealership. I guess I better not get stranded with a dead battery, because you can't just jump start the car. My service guy said this is what happens when the battery looses it charge.

Thank you!!!!! Ive searched donzens of posts for pics of a blue e60 with csl's.
So whats the word with the wheels you will be carrying? Are we looking at an exclusive e60 20" fitment?
Also what is the lip size on those V714's? Could we expect to see a 20x10 anything soon?????Like this week????
Cause im ready to place an order

We've got the 20x10 tooling, but unfortunately I haven't tested this on the E60 yet. Getting ready to travel again to the factory , I just got back too.
