Patent issues, most likely.

That's my guess too, think the arrows patent runs out 2011.

Hope you enjoy yours... remember they are a great tool... but not a foolproof tool!
Duly noted. I know the detector won't make me immune to getting a ticket.

I'd make them into little cop car shapes to get round the patents...

cant you "reverse engineer" and re-engineer then call it something else to get around patents?

like traction control or Sport Automatic Transmissions?

7 pages later ... you end up ordering the V1.
Once you go with the arrows, you'll never go back

Well lets just say I hate buying things on a whim

Sorry if I caused any problems. At least new prospect buyers will get a kick out of reading this thread

Question: Does anyone know if the 8 ft long straight wire is long enough to wrap around to the passenger side power outlet?
I don't think it will be.. I'm not too good with messing with electrical stuff so not sure if I can hardwire this. Bah I'll just do a search.

No worries, that's what this forum's for

Here's a link to the DIY on the V1 hardwire. Since you have a newer model, I would be careful regarding tapping into the correct power-wire. Scroll to the last few pages of the thread regarding the LCI-related power issue and finding the correct wire, http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=708&

If you can find the right wire, you should have no problem with this DIY
