Wish when u press Lock on remote, all Lights go off automatically.
You'll have to figure out how to splice it off the parking light circuit. Any ECU experts out there?

nicke60gre is the man for Electrical things in car. If he cant figure out, then none can

I think I asked him before, he said not possible. So at this point I am hoping Umnitza can figure out the wiring

U, if I want to tap the mirrors to get the V2's to light up when unlocking the car, do I use the "extra wiring harness" I ordered or the 2nd PnP (E39) socket ?
I think you mentioned something but don't remember...

Also the DRL issue (connecting to ECU you say..) - by turning our light switch one detent to the right > don't we achieve exactly the same thing ? or is there some other functionality I'm missing ?

Thanks
Good idea, don't know how you would do the wiring though, but our harness does provide for that feature if you figure it out.

Exactly, this is the question. DRL on the LCI is as you say, and I would love this function where only the rings will be activated. Can Umnitza confirm that this is the objective ?
...because on our pre LCI activating DRL in the i-drive setting simply turns on everything (as in parking lights) whether it's day or night.

Isn't the ECU aka our DME ? Are we refering to the engine control unit? hasn't the DRL issue something to do with the LCM (light control module) ?

I would simply like to know which cables connect to where to get DRL to work as mentioned above and to get the V2's to light up when unlocking the car !

yes - short answer that is the point of the DRL.

Now before you guys crucify me, the video I took of the DRL wiring has caused a fault code on the E39 M5 and my wife's car (after I finished up her wiring to see if it was repeate-able.).

Now before you guys crucify me, the fault code is ONLY evident with the DRL wiring, not the standard PNP setup.

That's what I was afraid of. Can you still post the video? I would like to see where you tapped the power for the DRL from.

I hope you can get the fault code figured out with the DRL's, I was afraid of this.

Figuring out the code is no problem, it's just a capacitor or resistor in line with the wire.

Will the resistor have to be purchased separately?

Remember, this is an E39, not an E60, I don't know if you will have that error on your cars yet.

Don't mean to keep asking the same question, but when do you plan on having the video posted umnitza?
