This seems to be good question from a guy from M5board.com
"Question: If I install the Predator Ice and use the DRL wire harness, I will obviously need to disconnect the wire from the DRL lights and plug them into the Ice harness. This will presumably run the ICE angle eye lights as DRL's (what I would like to do). But what happens to the OEM DRL lights? I assume they are rendered inoperable. The DRL's are also used to signal/flash the front lights when the turn signal handle is pulled back (ie: to flash someone to signal them). Is this function lost?"
So if I use DRL harness to make Angeleyes as DRL's, then I loose functionality of OEM DRLS? In my case the free Xenix flashing?

No thanks.. no AIB's or ICE for my M6. After catching a rather long thread on e46fanatics regarding ballasts burning and then finding the link below in that thread, where a guy's M3 caught fire and both BMW and the insurance company pointed at the Angel Eyes, I'm out.... The owner in that case dodged a bullet and his out of pocket will be $2,100. (no idea on future premium hikes)
Umnitza is remaining neutral at the time, neither admitting or denying fault. I'd certainly wait to see how this plays out.

My response on that thread stands. We have well over 5000 of these items in the field. There is no "one mistake" here, it's a fluke like getting hit with lightning in the middle of Manhattan on a clear summer day. It doesn't have to do with our product and that is my contention.

I love sparring with you on the 3 different forums you have time to spar with me. It's my job to inform customers to the best of my ability.

Wow, sounds like umnitza has its hands full, having ballast and wires running around the engine bay might be dangerous!
