Thanks Nick

I just checked my lights again, and they not only light up when you unlock the car, but when you lock it also! Personally, I think it's pretty cool, but I have no idea how my mechanic hooked them up. I'll ask again.

Did you clear your error message? Or do you still have it?

It's still there... Reads something to the extent of 'Left Side Headlight Malfunction!' (and right side after this) and in the middle of the cluster, there is a picture of a light bulb with a (!) sign. But no annoying chimes or sounds that warn you there is something wrong. The word 'malfunction' doesn't sound soothing, but whatever. I hope umnitza can chime-in with the correct resistor to use.

cool, thanks - pics are the key, if we can see the connections, the rest is easy to figure out.
Sure thing Worst case, I will just take pics myself of the wiring and post.

It's ICE V1 on pics, no RGB effect one permanent colour each time (any color, or colours, i.e. blue-white fading)

How about red on the outer ring and blue on the inners????

Police might not like it but I would!!!

Oo oO

(umnitza @ Jul 12 2007, 12:56 AM) the RGB affect is simple. a thin plate glass or small film filter of any color since the ICE is bright white, you can manipulate the color any way you want.

U, is this related to your new "trick" you mentioned coming up for the ICE v2's...?

I thought Umnitza already figuered how to clear the error message, perhaps he is working on getting the video and instructions to the DRL.

umnitza, did the 50W 60ohm resistor remove the error on your E39 DRL setup? Did you just solder it to one of the leads?
