What will happen, when you unlock the car and the parking lights are left to "on" position when locking the car??

I was thinking the same thing and I checked on that earlier, but to be really honest, it's hard to tell during the daylight. That's how dim these things are. I have to check again when it gets dark, but I have the DRL function also so the lights turn off as the key is taken out of the car and the light is on '0'. If you press the unlock button from the outside, the lights turn on periodically, but turn off after a little since the key is not in the ignition.
I meant if you lock the car with the parking lights on (first position right)
Where your mechanic took signal from, to enable that function??

I thought from Umnitza install DRL harness on rolld1ce car, they got some Idrive warning... how did ur BMW tech work-around it?
My stock DRLs got disabled when dealer upgraded my car to latest CIP release. Should I have DRL programmed by Dealer to be ON or OFF? or it doesnt matter now, since now we gonna use Umnitza DRL harness.

I will have to ask him. I'm going to see him today and try to get as much information as possible. English isn't his first language so it's hard understanding him sometimes but we'll see.
The problem that it is not so bright when in daylight is that their color is cool daylight and their brightness isn't so noticeable because of the reflections around, if it was yellow then it will be much brighter than stock rings.

Ok Thanks, That's the first thing I'm interested on. Your ICE will be satisfactory bright at night.

I just checked my lights again, and they not only light up when you unlock the car, but when you lock it also! Personally, I think it's pretty cool, but I have no idea how my mechanic hooked them up. I'll ask again.
