You have to buy extra just in case you get some yellow ones. When I used to buy the Radio Shack LED, I usually buy 20.

Haha, damn, people really should read the whole freaking thread. I mentioned this twice in the thread at least to be a thing to watch out for.

Nice, DK, the first time I did it, I ended up going to 8 different stores, bought total of 24, hahaha.

What I did was (I no longer have to use this method) I would bring my LED tester with me to the store with a reference LED and just test it at the store on the spot. I just have the LEDs poke through the package and light it up That way, I don't waste my time going to the store, buy wrong ones, and have to return it.

Also, Radio Shack was actually really good about taking my return long ago. I just desolder the yellow-ish white ones off and put it back in the bag, staple it up, and got my refund. With that said, when I desolder them off, I do it real clean to where it looks unused.

Anyway. The only part of this comment that should matter to you (and others) is this: order the LEDs online through the Radio Shack website. I am not sure why that is, but the LEDs that comes out of their warehouse are and have always been the same color, the blue-ish white one. I think I have had at least 5-6 people order it directly from RS and had it shipped to me to do work, and it has been gravy (60 out of 60 is pretty good I'd say).

I have played with the idea of upgrading my headlight eyebrows for about a year now. but since the headlight can not be taken apart I havent done much.. I was on ebay about 2 months ago and come accross a set of eyebrows for an E60 for sale.. Seperated from the headlight just the top part so I purchased them.. I realized that the 6 leds sit on one circuit located towards the back of the brow.. I purchased the Super White leds from Radio Shack removed (and by remove I mean ripped out) the OEM Amber ones on the circuit and soldiered on the new ones.

The next challenge was how to remove the section of the eyebrow from the headlight without breaking it.. This was much harder, you have to literally cut the rubber around the entire section. I dont recommend anyone to attempt this unless you are very handy as you can damage the headlight and would have to buy a new one. I'm also including a few pictures from the progress. If anyone attempt to replicate this do it at your own risk and Just remember I did it first.. LOL

Ohh ya... and the pictures also show my newly installed Euro Stickers.....

Looks like 6000k HID fogs. PM John@Motorcepts. He sells the kits and anything to do with lighting.
