okay figured it out for anyone who has the same question. Test the actual led bulb on the prongs figure out which 2 are the positive and which 2 are the negative so once you have that determined that, turn the actual circuit board around and its labeled with a plus and a minus sign and do the opposite of this. Solder the leds in the opposite way with the circuit board so put the 2 + prongs of the led bulb in the negative side of the circuit board and just continue the procedure trust me this sounds ass backwards but that's how it goes.

While contemplating doing this mod. I came across this for the LCI people.
2008-2010 BMW E60 5 Series Eyebrow Eyelid Xenon White LED Module
They are local to me so I may go over there and see how well they light up before I decide going this route.

Makes it easier, but those LED are basically junk. Not to mention the long brow part of it hardly lights up (won't look like those in pictures in real life, I promise you that).
Even the best 5050 SMD you're looking at it to output around 30-35 lumen, and the proper Osram LED I use is 130-150 lumen.

I know this is an older thread, but I did this eyebrow upgrade last year and now one side won't light up. I've checked the connecter, cleaned it (CO2 canister) and re-plugged it but still nothing. Any ideas what to check next? I'm not getting any error codes or warnings.

You're absolutely right - I went ahead and opened it up and found that one of the LED's on the board had cracked somehow. Ordered a new set on eBay and it'll give me a chance to re-do it a little cleaner anyway. Thanks for your reply!

I’m sure it’s been years since you finished this retrofit.
but what LEDs did you use for the upgrade?
the headlights look fantastic, but there is no step-by-step details or product info I can seem to find?
any help would be greatly appreciated as I am very interested in doing this myself.
TIA
