Oh yeah, anyone attempting to do this mod, there is a rubber piece and plastic outer shell that is held in by clips. DO NOT CUT THAT PIECE. Its not pictured. Remove it first. I cut that piece, to get to the part you supposed to cut to get the circuit board. I have to buy a replacement which is cheap. But saves time on not having to get another one.

Does the LCI have the same type of material surrounding that portion? I looked at my car today and I realized that the part where the LED are is a Hard plastic. Not rubber (which for some reason I thought it was because of your explanations).

Are the pre-LCIers rubber or a hard plastic?

Its hard rubber, it looks like plastic.... If anyone in Queens has an LCI and wants me to look at it to tell you, let me know

Thanks man.... Is there a SPECIFIC point where you made the cuts? I don't see "guidelines"... Hopefully, an LCIer takes you up on that offer... So we can be blessed by it...

Check out mike little write up on the pix, its pretty much the entire area around the center plastic part.
