ok, this time instead of doing the job "FA_write", i selected the coding option "SG_CODIEREN" and execute.

now i'm getting somewhere. the parking lights work right(led rear, eyebrows, angel eyes). the headlights dont work, and all lights shut off when i move the headlight switch all the way to headlights.

did i upload the wrong code file? i'm not familar with .man files etc.

Just did the swap today using winkfp and tool32, use them. Try Adding the ECU for the light module to see it in INPA

are you still getting the errors? Try coding the FA to the LM2 in NCSExpert and then make sure you use the standard profile to when coding the LM2 back to defaults using the "SG_CODIEREN"

It should get you lights back at least

First off, finding out both ballasts were bad was not funny. I swapped in my old ones.
I eventually got it working with help from euautohaus. I wasn't too familiar with opening the what's it called, psw....trc file. All is good now, and I love the look of the new lights.

It's possible but unlikely that both ballasts are bad, just probably not getting the voltage they want. You do hear the lights click and usually that's a relay issue or wiring issue.
Flashing the LM with E60 control file vs. E65 control file and your VIN and a little bit of coding did the trick. After swapping the ballasts everything was good. Contact us when you get back and I will help you or will have another add the other options you want thx. Nic

Hey Guys ... I am just done with Pre LCI Halogen to LCI Bi-Xenon (non AHL) conversion on my 2006 E60 530i sport, and need to get all working now. The following parts have been successfully installed:

1. LCI Bi-Xenon Headlights - non adaptive (complete assembly including ballasts, HIDs etc)
2. LCI Tail Lights
3. LM2
4. Genuine retrofit cabling
5. All cabling has been done properly by following a few other pre-LCI Halogen to LCI bi-Xenon conversion posts

Current Issues
1. Angel eyes work for 5 seconds only when the headlights/parking lights are turned on.
2. Only low beam and eyebrows work, no high beams.
3. Tail lights dont work except 2 little round lights or when braking.
4. BMW dealership here in Canberra/Australia advised that they do not guarantee the coding part as the retrofit wasnt done by them and they still charge me $180 p/h.
5. LM2 coding required

I have ordered OBD Cable, DIS v57, SSS V32, TIS and INPA softwares. But I am not familiar with coding terms etc like FA, VO etc etc ... I need step by step coding procedure which I could follow to get the coding done.

I was just following this thread. Interesting read. I guess if you run into a snag looks like euautohaus people can do it. Worked for turboawd!
