Next question therefore....how hard is it to remove the existing auto gearlever. I have heard it's just a question of pulling hard on it upwards, is this true ? Is putting the new one on the same type of procedure but in reverse ?

nice knob. it isnt too hard to remove the stock shifter. yes it is just pulling hard upwards. just takes a little more elbowgrease than usual. and yes putting on the new one is the same procedure in reverse, but doesnt take as much work.

that is exactly an easy swap...i had those before modding it to an m5 shifter...it's totally a direct,straight forward and easy mod...just pull the old knob out and push the new hartge knob in...the pushing is easy, the pulling out is a bit tough...just beware not to knock your face with that oem knob of yours(while pulling it out)...lol
