Anyone do a suede headliner or anything similar, I really want to put one on. I hate that the whole car is dark and then the headliner is a light tan, so annoying. Just wondering if anyone has ever replaced there headliner or if I should just take it to a shop.

I see on the 550i lci the option is 500 bucks. I dont know how much an aftermarket type procedure would cost but definetly shop around. The only dealer I would suggest is Garry Romani at Newport RI BMW...Thought about the suede headliner but I dont know if it would go with the rest of my car...plus mines grey I dont mind it really.

Nah I?m looking for more of a black micro suede or suede to more match the color scheme of my car. I might just go to this upholstery shop that does old cars and airplanes, i was just wondering if anyone did this on there own and all I had to do was take it down and get some fabric.

No, it's just anthracite. I have it on my 530i. Alcantara (synthetic suede) is available only on BMW Individual and on M5 cars.

Changing the headliner after delivery is really expensive because you also have to change the grab handles, the sun visors, the A, B, and C pillars, mess with the airbags, change the trim around the lights, etc. It would be a nightmare.

I did my own. I have been doing that sorta stuff for years. I did mine in Dove grey to match my seats. I will do yours if you send me your headliner and pillars. I will only charge for the cost of materials. I have a wholesaler I get my suede from. 40bucks a yard.

Wow....what a great guy. How much do you think that would run for everything? I am very interested. Not sure if I would want to do another color besides grey...like my interior. I will pay you something to do it of course.
