Steering Wheel Noise?

Lately when I am about to start the car the steering wheel starts moving down and there is a grinding / rattling noise coming from the column area. What could this be? Is there a simple fix? Thanks in advance.

+1 would like to know.

i once lubricated with wd40 but after a few weeks it came back , n mostly does it wen its hot outside or heater on,

Try using dielectric grease or something similar. That what I used and haven't had a problem since...
