The first messes the white plastic little part . My dealer says I can't swap that part form my steering to that one .
In short term, that steering wheel would be useless and not usable, according to my dealer .
EDIT : Obviously BMW doesn't provide that little part .
Your opinion ?
Thanks!

When i purchased my car it had the Hexagon standard wheel and i exchanged it for a SMG steering wheel I had purchased used and I ended up using my old plastic white piece ( Just unscrew the 2 screws and your set ) since the used steering wheel didn't have it.
Hope this helps

When you buy a new Sport/M5 steering wheel for a car that would be built before 09/2005 and would require that white plastic piece. It should be included ( I just recently purchased a new M5 steering wheel and it was included )

So are you saying I can exchange that white little piece ?
That stupid man at the dealer told me it is melted.. Is it false ?
Hope this helps

The piece is not melted on. As you can see in the picture you posted of the steering wheel without the white piece it shows you two holes.
So it's unscrew off the old wheel and screw on the new wheel.

I suspect the man at the dealer acted in bad faith .. Very sad .
I owe you a favour!

For me? 30 sec for airbag and 1 minute for steering wheel.
To install this :
on the car with other parts (paddles, both parts with buttons, wirings, airbag) taken from my steering to this one .
Not for you that is your preferred hobby .. For a stupid dealer
