EuroCarFann,
question for you,,
compared to having it installed and not installed, according to other members, its like night and day....
what is the difference. is it only the acceleration percentage.
so all it does is make the gas pedal touchier (lack of terms) meaning you touch it a little it takes off????
isnt that kinda bad when you have other people in the car, I know my friend drives like that in his Scion, its like he has a lead foot, LOL

It's definitely a night and day difference with or without the SB installed. I take mine off when I bring my car in for service and the car does not feel as responsive without it and I find myself rushing to put it back on once I get my car back.

The throttle is more sensitive so it does mean you have to be a bit more gentle with your right foot especially in low speed maneuvers like parking but you should be able to adapt pretty quickly. Most members who have the SB seem to have adjusted just fine.

So this effectively makes the car faster?

What are we talking here, .1 of a second off the 1/4 mile time?

I NEVER remove SB when taking my car in for service. The SA has never said anything.
I left mine on when BMW replaced my transmission last week, they never even knew about it!

Damn you guys, everytime I come to this site I want to spend even more money! This sounds like a must have mod for my 525xi! Where does this thing plug into?

Disconnect the accelerator pedal and plug it inline, and then just drive with a BIG grin!! You'll love it, you'll see!

Found a local shop that will let me try it out for free. I'm assuming that I might as well bring my wallet because afterwards im not going to want to go back to stock by the sounds of it
