I realize this topic has been beaten to death, revived and beaten some more. I have asked in numerous other topics if the sprint booster causes long term affects. I got one or two quick answers here and there, but never a real definitive answer. The only thing keeping me from buying a SB is that I don't know what happens in the long run. Does it hurt the car at all? Does the car rev higher than it should? Please help.
And sorry again.
Thank you

You should be fine. No long term issues with this. In essence, what this is doing is giving you a "heavier foot" -- albeit more linear too. While it's installed, it's remapping the accelerator pedal's characteristics. You can at any time just take it off and you're back to norm. It's not actually doing anything to the engine and you're not increasing the rev limiter if that's what you meant.

I'm looking at buying one too. Check ebay, there's a vendor selling it for about $236, and about $25-30 for shipping, new. I'm so tempted!
I haven't had any issues with mine, nor any errors with my car at all and have had it on for more then a year now.
There is no rev increase at idle, the only thing you may notice is a "wow" sensation at the begining.
I notice even better responce in SD
Here is the test...
Install your SB.
Drive your car for a month.
After a month.
Remove SB.
Then post your results.
I'm betting you slap that baby right back on again after a short trip down your street.
**
Be sure you install it correctly.
Meaning, don't bend the pins.
It's female to male plugs any Caveman can install this in 5 min.
Push the connections in all the way.
Make sure you order the correct one.
There are ones for Auto's and Manuals.
**
Hope this helps.
