I haven't had any issues with mine, nor any errors with my car at all and have had it on for more then a year now.
There is no rev increase at idle, the only thing you may notice is a "wow" sensation at the begining.
I notice even better responce in SD
Here is the test...
Install your SB.
Drive your car for a month.
After a month.
Remove SB.
Then post your results.
I'm betting you slap that baby right back on again after a short trip down your street.
**
Be sure you install it correctly.
Meaning, don't bend the pins.
It's female to male plugs any Caveman can install this in 5 min.
Push the connections in all the way.
Make sure you order the correct one.
There are ones for Auto's and Manuals.
**
Hope this helps.

So does it change the shift points in D or DS? or do they remain the same?
And what is the deal with shifts. If it shifts faster doesn't that hurt the tranny? I know, I am asking way tooo many questions. So I beg your forgiveness, please don't kill me
Read my lips...
It has noting to do ... at all.. none what so ever...at which your trans shifts gears.... either in D or in DS.
It basicly takes out "lag" (which I hear BMW puts in as a safety issue, but nothing confirmed) and lets you go from hitting the excelorator (peddle on the right in the USA) and to it moving you back in your seat.
It's a great mod.
It's probably in the top 3 for sure if not the first one you should get.
Hope this helps.

I'm looking at buying one too. Check ebay, there's a vendor selling it for about $236, and about $25-30 for shipping, new. I'm so tempted!

Again, I think I'm the only person who feels this way on this board for some reason, but without question or doubt, my shift points change dramatically when I have the SB on. I love the way the car drives when I am in D mode with it installed, but when in Sport mode, I'm not sure I like it. Feels like my car is going to blow up before it shifts...

Do the shifts feel rough in DS? I have a 545i so I don't know how it will compare to a V6
