Speaker Upgrades
Afternoon Guys,
I have got a 2004 bmw 525 with standard mask stereo,i trying to change the whole speaker system in my car, after doing research on this forum.I have only seen installation for amp and sub.But all i want to do is change the front and back speakers, install some tweeters and run it off a 4 channel amp.Is that possible at all..
I went to an ICE shop and i was told its not possible and they dont touch the e60 because its too much hassle, can someone help me or just tell me what to do

Check if Bavariansoundwerks has anything to offer you. Definitely it is not impossible!
I have their speakers in my Logic7 system and they sound great!

For those who are wanting to do a custom system it is not hard at all. I just did my 02 3series and I'm starting my 06 530. Basically first , run everything new . Run all new speaker wire from stock radio. Never blend stock wires and aftermarket of you can help it. Pioneer makes a direct replacement for the inside speakers. If you want. Add 6-1/2s to the rear doors for more mid range. Disconnect factory amp, it sucks anyway. Split your inside speakers between the radio and a second amp. For your bass. The earthquake sws 8's and what ever subs you want on a quality amp. Don't go cheap on the equipment. Use a ported box and preferably if you have the money go with a custom trunk and box lay out for the look.
In my e60 I put Rainbow DL-C4.2 at the front and at the back with standard cables.
I also put 2 x sws earthquake sub with amplifier and cables. Everything sounds amazing together.
As for me there is no need for amplifier to be added to front and back speakers.
