Actually on base sound system the head unit directly powers all speakers except for the sub. The sub amp is in the trunk on the left side. Logic7 is different.
You can't tap into the OEM sound before amplification, it's a proprietary system (MOST network). You have to run the analog speaker output into a device called an LOC that converts it to line-level (i.e. RCA) then run that into your own amps. Sound quality suffers, but not as much as you would think.
