Well, I am on the home stretch of the BSW Stage 1 install. As promised I will be posting a detailed review once complete. I have taken over 45 photos of the install so far. Not too many problems, but here's where I am confused, and BSW's instructions are lacking.
Their instructions state "With the speaker removed, we can now apply the optional sound deadening material to the door panel itself. Please note that there is no roght or wrong way to apply the material. Just make sure you heat the sound deadening up sufficiently enough to activate the glue on the sticky side of the material." I get that but, then on one of their You Tube videos, actually an e46 Stage 1 install, they describe how the sound deadening material should be placed on the metal of the door, specifically I mean the back side of the paint.
Well my door looks like it has sound deadening foam on it from the factory. Maybe that's part of the Premium Sound system??? So, where would you put the sound deadening material, on the back side of the door panel? Here's a couple photos.
This is the inside of door.
This is the inside of the door panel where the speaker will be attached.
Thanks, would like to get this thing finished up today so I can crank her up.
